For Small to Mid-Sized Companies

Many of our clients have come to us out of the need or desire to have an HRIS in their organization and they don’t want a big complicated system. They want to manage their employees properly but they don’t want to become burdened by any system that they put in. They are looking for an intelligent, time-effective HRIS/HRMS that they can implement within their organization, reap benefits from immediately and gain more and more benefits with time. After implementing HRA most of our clients tell us that those goals were achieved.

HRA offers two solutions for Small to Mid-sized Companies – these are companies with between 25 and 500 employees.

For mid-sized Companies there is HRA Professional. This is a fully featured Windows-based HRIS/HRMS. HRA Professional is designed predominantly for companies with 100-500 employees but it can easily be used for companies smaller or larger than that. It depends on how your company is structured – how it behaves.

We have clients on HRA Professional that have fairly straightforward businesses (is there such a thing?) and they use HRA for all its great organizational and analytical capabilities. In contrast, we have a client on HRA Professional that has only 25 employees but they have 2 Union Groups and 1 Non-Union Group (Management). They all have separate Collective Agreements which need to be managed within HRA. This is a little company that thinks and acts like a big company. In further contrast, we also have a client with 5,000 employees that uses HRA Professional. They are a chain of hardware stores so the small company approach is simply repeated 25 times. All HR functions are done centrally so they use HRA Professional on their Head Office Local Area Network. They are also linked to their ADP payroll and the interface for all 5,000+ employees takes under 5 minutes. HRA can handle the straightforward and the complicated.

HRA Professional has been the core HRA version from the beginning. HRA Professional has an extensive feature list developed from all the input, ideas and suggestions that we have been receiving since 1991. You can run HRA Professional for the HR department only, put it out to all your managers to streamline the data input plus easily give all your Employees access via the Employee Self-Serve. For smaller companies there is HRA Personal Assistant (HRA PA). HRA PA is really a scaled down version of HRA Professional. We have taken the more advanced components out of HRA Professional to make a simpler version for smaller companies – usually under 100 employees. This gives a low cost entry-level solution to get into HRA with upgrade possibilities in reserve. HRA PA has simpler salary grids, simpler formula grids, no interfacing capabilities and only has the 120 standard reports without the Report Writer. It is a fast, easy, low-cost way to get your company going and organized with HRA. If you decide to upgrade to another version of HRA in the future you will be given full credit for your HRA PA purchase.
